ART CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS FOR KIDS - WINTER 2012
The following kids art classes and workshops are offered for the Winter 2012, semester. To register for one or more art classes, check off the box to the left of the art class and scroll down to complete and submit the online registration form. Students are encouraged to register early as art classes fill quickly.

Drawing with Color - Ages 8-12
Instructor: Dannielle Mick
Learn how to make a multitude of colors using your six basic primary and secondary colors plus black and white. This is a great course for the young artist who has a solid understanding of values and the fundamentals of drawing, which is recommended before moving on to the next step of exploring color and layering. Students will work from still life, photographs and their imagination. Each student will be supplied with their own set art of supplies to be used in class and at home.

Adventures in Drawing - Ages 8-12

If your child has the desire to learn, Lakeside Art Studio is the place to be! The artist's studio offers a professional setting for the budding artist to develop their creative side. We limit the size of classes so the young artist is offered more attention in this exciting, fun and creative environment. Starting with a variety of exercises in value, shape, line and form, and then expanding into composition and light source they will learn to appreciate common everyday scenes with new eyes. They will work from still life, photographs, and on location. Students will learn at a young age how to keep a journal of their drawings as a record of their growth. Join the fun and learn the basics. All materials supplied.
