ART CLASSES FOR ADULTS - WINTER 2012
The following art classes are offered for the Winter 2012, semester. To register for one or more art classes, check off the box to the left of the art class and scroll down to complete and submit the online registration form. Students are encouraged to register early as art classes fill quickly.

Passion for Pastels
Instructor: Dannielle Mick
This structured and informative course explores the ever-expanding world of pastel techniques, including handmade paper, toning surfaces and the elements of hard versus soft pastels. Students will be encouraged to work from nature, photographs, still life and their own imagination. Dannielle will work one on one with each student to help achieve their own artistic vision. Demonstration, plein air painting and gallery tours round out this versatile course.

Adventures in Acrylic
Instructor: Dannielle Mick
Acrylic as a painting medium can best be described as versatile. An acrylic painting can resemble anything from a watercolor to an oil. Learn the many techniques to achieve different surface properties. We will explore many traditional and non-traditional supports as well as experiment with mixed-media in combination with acrylics. Students will be encouraged to work from nature, photographs, still life and their own imagination. Dannielle will work one on one with each student to help achieve their own artistic vision. Demonstration, plein air painting and gallery tours round out this versatile course.
