KID'S ART CAMP AT LAKESIDE ART STUDIO (Ages 8-12)
Kid's Art Camp is offered for the Summer 2012 semester. To register for one or more weeks of Art Camp, check off the box to the left of the art class and scroll down to complete and submit the online registration form. Students are encouraged to register early as art classes fill quickly.
About Lakeside Art Studio: LAS is the working studio of artist Dannielle Mick. The space is nestled in the scenic lakeside community of Parsippany, New Jersey. Teaching is done both in the studio and outdoors plein aire. The school offers in-depth art instruction and private instruction in a variety of media suitable for students of all ages and skill levels.
About the Instructor: Dannielle Mick is an internationally recognized, award-winning, professional artist and has been teaching students of all ages for the last 15 years.
About Kid's Art Camp: Classes are kept small to give each child individual attention. Each student will be encouraged to have fun and use their imagination while creating each day's exercises and assignments. The studio school offers high quality programs to immerse and enrich the young artist. Projects will vary each week so kids may register for as many weeks of camp as they wish.

The students will be studying the great masters as well as explore a variety of media including but not limited to drawing, painting, watercolor, oil sticks, collage, printmaking, papermaking and sculpture. Students should wear old clothes or bring a smock and also pack a lunch (including drink) and snack.

Seascapes, Landscapes, Skyscapes, Nightscapes, Escapes

Explore the rush of the ocean waves, the mysteries of the night sky, the many textures of the land, the magic of clouds and your own fantastical imagination while using acrylics, oil sticks, collage and watercolors.

Nature

From found object sculptures to animal portraits, this week will be sure to excite the nature loving child. Projects are designed to not only introduce new techniques and materials but to also learn fun facts about their subjects.

Structures / Masters
Instructor: Dannielle Mick
Van Gogh, Calder, Warhol, Hopper and Innes will be the springboards for a week of exploring the artists' unique view of the world around them. Through some fun projects you will develop your own unique point of view.

Storytelling
Instructor: Dannielle Mick
Whether creating a triptych painting, exploring murals and public art, or making paper for your own personal journal, the many different ways of storytelling, as well as the importance of storytelling, throughout history will be investigated.
